LASIK Evaluation

Some people feel a bit apprehensive about scheduling a LASIK evaluation. The truth is that you can fret for years over whether or not to have LASIK and not even be a good candidate for the procedure in the first place. If you are tired of dealing with glasses and contact lenses to correct your nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism, you really owe it to yourself to find out if LASIK is right for you.

We offer an initial LASIK evaluation that is free. We cannot offer any prescription lens fittings during this Evaluation, but we can help you determine whether or not a full LASIK evaluation is warranted.

At Victoria Eye Center, we view the LASIK evaluation as a two-way street. It’s as much for our benefit as it is for yours. Even if you are outside the typical age range for LASIK, we are happy to look at your vision characteristics to determine if LASIK might produce the results you desire. The LASIK evaluation will include:

  • Multiple scans of your eye to map your exact vision characteristics
  • Corneal thickness
  • Overview of your medical history
  • Identification of any eye conditions or diseases

While we are performing tests on your eyes, you can also be “interviewing” us to make sure we are a good fit. It’s also a time to have all of your questions answered about the procedure – you probably have lots of them.

Any LASIK center that is not up-front about the costs of LASIK, what types of LASIK technologies are used, the surgeon’s experience and potential risks of LASIK is probably not worthy of your business. These are all things you can determine during the LASIK evaluation.

Our LASIK evaluation is not a gimmick to get you in our doors and pressure you to have a procedure you’re not ready for. It’s a chance for you to find out if your life can be improved through better vision. Contact us today to schedule your free LASIK evaluation.
